Jennifer Aniston ‘broke her body’ and sustained ‘many injuries’ from working out too hard

Jennifer Aniston has revealed the toll her punishing workout regime over the years has taken on her body.

The Friends star, 54, said she has sustained ‘many injuries’ in the past in her quest to keep fit – and even admitted that she would push herself so hard that she ‘burnt out and broke my body’.

However, she has now switched up her approach to be much kinder on herself.

Talking in a new interview as she unveiled her collaboration with fitness brand Pvolve, the star discussed how she now avoids repeтιтive exercise such as ‘the monotony of banging yourself out on a treadmill for 45 minutes’.

‘When you’re in a mindset of, “I need to do 45 minutes of cardio or I won’t get a good workout,” it’s daunting,’ Jennifer shared.

‘I believed it for so long. I just burnt out and broke my body.’

Discussing working out too hard in the past, the star added to InStyle: ‘My physical therapist gave me a Barbie doll that’s covered in Kinesio tape.’

Although it could be seen as a silly mental image, Jennifer explained she then realised the purpose of all that tape was ‘to show every injury I’ve had in the last 15 years’.

The Murder Mystery 2 actress recently revealed that she felt her first purchase with her paycheck from Friends was a mᴀssive mistake.

She sH๏τ to fame on the beloved 90s sitcom, which ran from 1994 until 2004, playing waitress turned fashion executive Rachel Green.

The comedy, which also starred the likes of Courteney Cox and David Schwimmer, was such a hit, the cast made history by earning £1million per episode in the early 2000s, which at the time was the largest paycheck ever for sitcom stars.

But despite the colossal earnings, Jennifer has said her first big buy was a ‘lemon.’

‘I do remember my first big splurge was on a Mercedes that had a for sale sign on it for almost two years,’ she shared.

Recalling she had repeatedly seen the car near Melrose Avenue, LA, The Morning Show star continued to Popsugar : ‘There was a little white 280 SL Mercedes and it was there for a long time. It could’ve been over two years.

‘I was always like, “I can’t wait, someday”.’

After receiving her Friends dollar, Jennifer promptly bought the car but it appears her enjoyment was short-lived.

She continued: ‘I drove it and then drove it again, and it never drove again.

‘It was a lemon and that’s why it’s been sitting there. I didn’t know any better to get it checked out. So, that was just a nice 25-year-old mistake.’
