She was a negative person”: Megan Fox Removed Her Idol Marilyn Monroe’s Tattoo After Her Own Disturbing Experience That Made Steven Spielberg Fire Her

Megan Fox is one of the most desired and famous actresses in the Hollywood industry. The actress initially did supporting roles in numerous shows and films until she finally got her breakthrough role in Transformers. The blockbuster franchise completely changed her life and brought her into the big leagues. In her early days, the actress was inspired by Marilyn Monroe and got a tattoo of the star.

However, some years later, she removed the tattoo from her arm after facing a negative event in her life related to her superhit film.

Megan Fox got her Marilyn Monroe tattoo removed for a specific reason
Jennifer’s Body star shared in an interview with Marie Claire in 2009 about inking Marilyn Monroe on her arm and its special significance to her. She shared,

“She was one of the first people I saw on television, like, literally moments after I was born. Every time I heard her voice growing up I would always cry. I wouldn’t know why when I was younger, but now have my own theories. I’ve just always empathized with her.”

However, the actress got the tattoo removed later when she learned about the tragedies in the life of the actress. Fox felt like she attracted negativity in her life with the tattoo. She shared,

“I’m removing it. She was a negative person, she was disturbed…I do not want to attract this kind of negative energy in my life.”

For the unversed, Monroe had a difficult childhood and had lived in various foster homes. She became famous for her image of a dumb blonde in films, which she disliked. She was hard to work with in later years and she pᴀssed away in 1962 due to alleged suicide.

Megan Fox felt Monroe’s negative life affected her personal life
Megan Fox became popular with Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg’s superhit film franchise, Transformers. She was part of the first two installments and was paired with Shia LaBeouf. However, she was fired from the third installment by Speilberg, after her one interview with The Guardian, where she compared Bay to Hitler.

She had said,

“He’s like Napoleon, and he wants to create this insane, infamous madman reputation. He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he’s a nightmare to work for but when you get him away from set, and he’s not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality because he’s so awkward, so hopelessly awkward. He has no social skills at all. And it’s endearing to watch him. He’s vulnerable and fragile in real life, and then on set, he’s a tyrant. Shia [Labeouf] and I almost die when we make a Transformers movie. He has you do some really insane things that insurance would never let you do.”

At the time Fox’s departure was reasoned as her desire to take up other acting opportunities.
