Megan Fox slammed for mocking union guidelines with Halloween costume

Megan Fox has found herself in H๏τ water with SAG-AFTRA for flouting the union’s guidelines when it came to picking out a Halloween outfit to celebrate the spooky season.

Fox and her fiance Machine Gun Kelly dressed as Chiaki Kuriyama’s schoolgirl ᴀssᴀssin Gogo Yubari and Uma Thurman’s Bride, respectively, from Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill when they attended Casamigos’ star-studded bash in Hollywood.

Fox posted pH๏τos from their night out and tagged SAG-AFTRA, the union representing actors who are on strike.

The Parent Trap and Abbott Elementary actress Lisa Ann Walter, who has been on the frontlines during the SAG strike, blasted Fox in a post on X: “What a rebel. Keep posturing for stupid s***, pretty lady. Meanwhile we’ll be working 10 hours a day – unpaid – to get basic contract earners a fair deal.”

Walter’s followers were quick to pile on with one person writing that Fox is “barely an actress anymore” and another declaring that they “forgot she existed.”

Fox’s Instagram post was also flooded with people criticizing her move.

“Yes girl, give it to your union trying to get better wages and benefits for lesser known people than u!” one person swiped, while a second critic wrote “you can barely act.”

Last week, the union prohibited actors from dressing up as popular characters from “struck content” and then sharing the images on social media.

“Is this a joke?” wrote Mandy Moore on her Instagram story. “Come on @sagaftra. This is what’s important? We’re asking you to negotiate in good faith on our behalf. So many folks across every aspect of this industry have been sacrificing mightily for months. Get back to the table and get a fair deal so everyone can get back to work.”

Ryan Reynolds also mocked the rule on X: “I look forward to screaming ‘scab’ at my 8 year old all night. She’s not in the union but she needs to learn”

Saturday Night Live poked fun at the rule in a sketch last weekend when actress Sarah Sherman appeared as SAG president Fran Drescher as she tried to stop children from dressing up as characters from struck movies and TV shows.
