Bag lady! Victoria’s Secret Angel Candice Swanepoel dresses down in velvet flares as she lugs shopping home in New York

It is not every day you see an Angel lugging home their shopping.

But that is just what happened when Candice Swanepoel was spotted heading back to her abode after going wild in the aisles in New York on Tuesday.

The Victoria’s Secret favourite looked like she was relishing every moment of domestic bliss as she carried home her groceries.

Candice, 28, certainly looked every inch the catwalk star as she pranced around in a black woolen jacket, fashion forward velvet flares and casual shoes.

The South African beanpole rounded off her look with a grey hat, circular sunglᴀsses and, her most fashion forward accessory, her carrier bags.

No doubt the bobby dazzler’s horde of rabid fans will feel the lingerie specialist was a tad overdressed, given her fame has been accrued due to her stunning turns modelling Victoria’s Secret smalls.

One person conspicuous by his absence was the professional clotheshorse’s adorable five-month-old son Anacã, who joined her when she enjoyed a day out in the sprawling metropolis last Friday.

On that occasion the beauty let her platinum blonde hair fan out from under a black leather pageboy cap that clashed with her hideous green leather jacket.

She had flung the coat over a black top with a sloping neckline that stopped agonisingly short of flashing some cleavage as she pounded the pavement.

For much of her outing, her firstborn – whom she welcomed into the world last October – was sitting safely in a black stroller.

Candice has been married to Anacã’s father, Brazil-born fellow clotheshorse Hermann Nicoli, since 2005, having met him in Paris when she was just 17-years-old.

The model had been seen last week nursing her newborn in between snapsH๏τs while working on a Vogue Brazil pH๏τo-shoot in Rio De Janeiro.

She’d slid on a black cocktail dress with mᴀssive white fabric roses at each shoulder and a small slit at the hem, which itself was cut off around mid-thigh.

Swanepoel’s reflected on breastfeeding in the lengthy caption of a close-up Instagram pH๏τo she posted in December of herself nursing Anacã.

Many women today are shamed for breastfeeding in public, or even kicked out of public places for feeding their children,’ she wrote

‘I have been made to feel the need to cover up and somewhat shy to feed my baby in public places but strangely feel nothing for the topless editorials I’ve done in the name of art..?’ the model pointed out.

‘The world has been desensitized to the Sєxualization of the breast and to violence on tv…why should it be different when it comes to breastfeeding?’

Noting: ‘Breastfeeding is not Sєxual it’s natural-,’ she insisted: ‘Those who feel it is wrong to feed your child in public need to get educated on the benefits breastfeeding has on mother and child and intern on society as a whole.’
