Boys just naturally ᴀssume that they’re gonna be better”: The Video Game Megan Fox is Secretly a Pro in, Machine Gun Kelly Will Never Forget the Humiliation

It’s a known fact that NetherRealm’s Mortal 1 Kombat brought an existing and fresh reboot for the long-running franchise. Although the game had its issues, fans and critics received it well thanks to its constant updates and additions of new fighters to raise the stakes further. However, one of the most striking aspects of the game was Megan Fox’s feature as one of the fighters in the game!

In Mortal Kombat 1, Megan Fox voiced Nitara, one of the franchise’s most iconic fighters. While talking about her role as Nitara, she revealed she was an avid gamer, just like many of us. While many doubted her skills, Machine Gun Kelly could vouch for her as he will never forget Fox’s gaming dominance.

Megan Fox Absolutely Crushed Machine Gun Kelly in Mortal Kombat

Although Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox aren’t together anymore, there’s no doubt that their relationship was one of the most talked about ones in Hollywood. Hell, they even told us that they drank each other blood, and if that’s not bonding between two love birds, then what is? However, they had other means of bonding in their relationship, and one of them was through gaming.

Back in 2021, in an interview with PEOPLE, Fox talked about her part in LG’s Only on OLED’s live celebrity gaming battle and her gaming skills. She further revealed how she shared moments with Machine Gun Kelly through gaming.

While chatting, she also revealed that she and Kelly had purchased a gaming console to spend quality time playing video games together. However, Fox managed to dominate Kelly completely in video games.

“He’s not a big gamer, he’s obviously a musician spending, like, every second of his life working and touring, [so] he never really got into games,” Fox says. “However, boys just naturally ᴀssume that they’re gonna be better than you at gaming, it’s just for whatever reason. It’s just this thing that exists out there.”

“He’d never seen me play … so we got the latest Mortal Kombat, we downloaded it, and I crushed him. Like, destroyed him every time we fought. We did, like, 40 something matches, and I absolutely destroyed him every time.”
It’s not the first time we’ve seen Megan Fox prove she’s a true gamer and likes compeтιтion. In the past, she has cosplayed Zelda and even appeared in Blizzard’s Diablo 4’s marketing campaign.

Megan Fox’s Iconic Role in Mortal Kombat Franchise

The Mortal Kombat franchise has never shied away from using real actors to portray its iconic character designs, but Megan Fox’s performance as Nitara takes that to the next level. In an interview, Fox revealed that she felt more connected to Nitara as she contributed her likeness to the character and not just her voice.

Megan Fox has always been a big fan of the Mortal Kombat franchise, and she even revealed that the series Princess Kitana was one of her biggest dream video game roles. Fox has called Mortal Kombat “one of the greatest video games of all time.” Although Mortal Kombat 1‘s Nitara is more of a villain than Kitana, it was likely a dream come true for the actor to become a playable fighter in the franchise.
