Candice Swanepoel returns to her ballerina roots in stunning new images for her line Tropic of C

Before becoming an internationally renowned supermodel, she got her start as a ballet dancer.

And Candice Swanepoel showcased her origins in a stunning new spread of pictures for her movement wear line Tropic of C on Thursday and Friday, to herald a collection of ‘dance inspired separates’.

The South Africa-born beauty, 32, shined in pictures posted to Tropic of C’s Instagram account that displayed her lithe figure clothed in sports bras and leggings, or shorts and leotards.

Other sH๏τs showed the beauty in kinetic, movement-filled poses, letting her hair flow freely as she danced in ballet slippers.

An image showed her en pointe, wearing a pink top, black crushed velvet short shorts, and sheer leggings

And yet another snap gave a fuller look at the backless pink leotard top, as Candice sat on the floor with legs extended striking a dynamic pose.

In a particularly arresting image, Swanepoel looked at the camera directly, through a mirror as she reclined in all-black apparel.

‘Dance has always been part of my life. A silent poetry. It is a way for my body and mind to connect in a free space and move from my heart,’ Candice wrote in one of the captions to introduce the collection, тιтled Movement.

In the past, Candice has spoken about how studying ballet helped her become a model.

She told Marie Claire in 2014, ‘I studied ballet when I was growing up. It has helped a lot with modeling because I think about all parts of my body, from my fingers to my toes.’

The statuesque beauty has also said how, if she had not been scouted at a Durban market to become a model at age 15, she would likely have continued with her ballet studies.
