A fresh season of The Kardashians arrived on Hulu on May 23 and fans finally get to see Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian’s journey into parenthood together. The couple went through some testing times trying to start a family. But, they thankfully welcomed their first child into the world last November. Kourtney’s baby shower is featured in episode 1 of the season, and her mom hilariously let’s slip the name of the couple’s baby in front of everyone.
While Kris is sharing too much information with baby shower guests (i.e. the name Rocky Barker), some fans of The Kardashians think Kourtney is giving TMI when it comes to her love life. As the 45-year-old reveals she’s “ready to pop” during the show, she shocks her mom with an admission some think is “gross.” But, there could be a valid explanation for their level of intimacy on the Hulu show.
Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian’s ‘inappropriate’ scenes
It’s no secret that Kourtney and Travis are partial to PDA.
And after years of Kourtney’s on-off relationship with Scott Disick – as shown on Keeping Up With the Kardashians – many of her fans are happy to see her thriving with her new partner.
However, others aren’t keen on the two’s level of on-screen coziness with some suggesting Travis and Kourtney are “inappropriate.”
Taking to a Reddit thread, some viewers went as far as to call the pair “gross” for their public displays of affection, and more think the two are “over-Sєxualized.”
During season 5, Kourtney tells her mom, Kris Jenner, in one scene: “I need to, like, have Sєx.”
Many people weigh in on Kourtney’s comment via the thread, with one writing: “Who needs to have Sєx when they’re 8 or 9 months pregnant?! Kourtney and Travis are just gross together.”
However, some fans were quick to snap back with a valid – and potentially scientifically proven response – a very pregnant Kourtney’s hormones are through the roof.
One wrote: “The hormones make you ridiculously h***y so while no one needs to, pregnant women want to more than most.”
Travis admits to being an ‘addict’
As if Kourtney needed a valid reason for wanting to get intimate with her husband, fans have also unearthed a rationale for why Travis could be crazy for bedroom action, too.
In an interview with Vice almost 10 years ago, Travis was asked about his previous battles with addiction, specifically “Sєx addiction.”
He was asked: “Do you think you’re still a Sєx addict?”
The drummer responded: “Oh yeah man, you’re always an addict. I went from being addicted to drugs, to being addicted to spending time with my kids now…”
He went on to add: “I’m not gonna lie now, I’m girl crazy. I always have been and I always will be. It was very rare that I was in a relationship. I had my girlfriend in high school and my two ex-wives. Ever since then, I’ve been very content with the love I get from my children.”
Speaking to the outlet in 2015, he added: “…I always tell girls that I would be such a horrible boyfriend; it’s just the truth, and I’m so consumed with music.”
Some Kardashians viewers taking to the same Reddit thread were surprised to hear Travis’s previous admissions about addiction, commenting: “I had no idea he was a Sєx addict.”
