The concerning TRUTH about Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s marriage: Why the reality star has dropped lifelong best friends and is growing increasingly isolated from her sisters

Kourtney Kardashian may appear to have a fairytale romance with husband Travis Barker, but it has come at the cost of her friendships – and also her relationships with her sisters, who have remained fiercely loyal to her ex Scott Disick, insiders claim.

Travis, 48, and Kourtney, 45, started dating in 2021 and quickly bombarded fans with their very public and pᴀssionate love affair, before tying the knot the following year – first in Las Vegas, then Santa Barbara and later in Italy’s idyllic Portofino.

They welcomed their son Rocky in November 2023 – eight years after Kourtney called it quits for good with Scott, 41, with whom she has children Mason, 14, Penelope, 12, and Reign, nine.

Now, DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal that Scott’s ongoing relationship with Kourtney’s family irked Travis who was left feeling ‘threatened.’

‘When Travis got together with Kourtney on the heels of her and Scott’s long romance, he felt threatened by Scott,’ a source told DailyMail.com.

‘Travis made it awkward for Scott to be around the family when he was there. His constant kissing and groping of Kourtney was his weapon and he knew that it would keep Scott out of the picture – and it did at the time.

‘Travis needed Scott to know that Kourtney was his now and, as a result, it caused Scott to distance himself from the Kardashians.’

Kourtney started dating Scott in 2006 and their tumultuous relationship was chronicled on the former E! reality show, Keeping up with the Kardashians, with the couple facing cheating allegations and his rehab stints as well as breaking up multiple times before they finally called it quits in 2015.

Scott continued to feature on the show as they navigated co-parenting, and the father-of-three – known affectionately as ‘Lord Disick’ – remained close to Kourtney’s family.

But when the show rebranded to The Kardashians and jumped ship to Hulu in 2022, Kourtney’s relationship with Travis was in full force and Scott revealed he was no longer as close to his ex, admitting it had been ‘a huge adjustment losing her as a best friend.’

Both Travis and Scott appeared on season one, with Kourtney left furious that her ex’s feelings surrounding her engagement was a big storyline.

Scott took a step back in season two, making one cameo, as he did not wish to be portrayed as the ‘villain’ in his ex’s new romance, prompting a backlash from fans, who demanded he return.

After inking a reported $2 million deal with Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner, 68, Scott returned for season three in May 2023. The ‘momager’ made it clear on Instagram that Scott was going nowhere.
