The ‘Megan Fox French’ Is An Edgy Twist on the Clᴀssic Manicure

Megan Fox is a bona fide beauty maven in every sense of the phrase. She’s no stranger to experimenting with hair color, testing out new makeup looks, and, as evidenced recently, getting creative with manicures. This week, the 38-year-old actress visited celebrity manicurist and Lost Angels founder Brittney Boyce for a nail look that’s edgy, dramatic, and quintessentially her. Naturally, we’re dubbing it the “Megan Fox French.”

Boyce shared an up-close pH๏τo of her client’s nail look on her Instagram grid, showcasing a twist on the classic French manicure. Instead of the tip being significantly shorter than the base, the duo swapped those roles, opting for a long, chunky white French tip and a short base. The nail artist added a curved design to the tips and accentuated the long, coffin-shaped nails with gemstones for a touch of sparkle.

Fox isn’t alone in redefining the French manicure. Countless celebrities are putting their own spin on the timeless design, a phenomenon that’s turned into a trend in its own right. “The classic French manicure will always be a go-to look for nail lovers, but the popular style continues to evolve with a variety of ways to put a twist on the classic look,” celebrity manicurist Julie Kandalec previously told NewBeauty. Recently, Kylie Jenner debuted a thin, pastel yellow French manicure with nails decorated with garden-inspired creepy-crawlies, brought to life by celebrity manicurist Zola Ganzorigt.
