Kourtney and Kim Kardashian’s latest argument got extremely personal—even for a family that’s spent most of their adult lives airing out their dirty laundry on television.
In the season-four premiere of The Kardashians, which dropped on Hulu on September 28, Kim and Kourtney got into a heated phone confrontation that left social media reeling. What started as a confrontation over Kim’s collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana following Kourtney’s D&G-themed Portofino wedding quickly spiraled out of control when the eldest Kardashian sibling called her younger sister “egotistical” and “selfish.”
Kim seemed taken aback by the accusations, telling Kourtney to dig deep to unpack “why you hate me so much and why you’re so angry with me.” She added, “You have a serious vendetta. You hate us, you’re a different person, we all talk about it.” Kourtney responded, “Because I don’t need you guys anymore, I don’t need to be a part of it.”

Though tension between the sisters has been building for years, this fight took a particularly emotional turn when Kim revealed that the family has a “Not Kourtney” group chat to discuss “concerns” about the 44-year-old reality star. Many viewers felt Kim then took things too far by telling Kourtney, “Your kids have even come to me with problems that they have and how you are.”
One X.com user suggested Kim was deflecting by dragging others into the conversation. “I don’t have to watch the show to see that what Kim just did here, is gaslighting,” they wrote. “Kourtney specifically saying she has a problem with Kim, Kim responds by saying everyone else thinks Kourtney is the problem. When the friends and groupchat comment didnt work, she sunk lower w/ bringing up her kids.”
“That was a low-ᴀss blow,” TikTok’s Simone Umba said in a video response to the argument. “If you’ve ever been in a situation where you couldn’t tell your mom anything and so you go to the next adult in the family—you go to like an auntie or a grandma, or even a friend of the family—and your mom finds out, they are hurt. So Kim intentionally saying that to hurt Kourtney over that phone call…that’s so terrible.
Kourtney appeared to feel similarly. “Is that helpful? You’re adding it into a fight to have a side,” Kourtney Kardashian told Kim Kardashian through tears. “It’s you and my friends and my kids and everyone against me. You’re just a fucking witch and I fucking hate you.”
In a joint confessional following the exchange, Kourtney said she felt Kim was “weaponizing everyone against me” but that they “both got to a place that we weren’t proud of.”
