Candice Swanepoel slams critics of her post-baby ʙικιɴι body

Candice Swanepoel has been forced to defend herself against body-shamers this week in the aftermath of her second pregnancy.

The Victoria’s Secret model was taking a well-deserved holiday in Brazil, when she was papped in her ʙικιɴι on the beach, something which caused a stir with some people.

Having welcomed her son on June 19, Candice had the confidence to step back into her swimwear just 12 days later, a feat that any new mum should be proud of.

However, the 29-year-old became the subject of some vile abuse, causing her to hit out at the haters for their criticism.

She wrote on Instagram, ‘This is me 12 days after having my son. If you have something bad to say about it… Check yourself.

‘Society can be so cruel to one another. Beauty standards are sometimes impossible for women these days. I am not ashamed to show my post-partum tummy, I am proud actually.

‘I carried my son for nine months in there, I think I’ve earned the right to have a little tummy.’

A second post continued, ‘I don’t have to hide my stomach just because people have unrealistic body standards of women. We create life… What can you do?

‘Ladies we are all in this together, be kind to each other.’

Candice and her partner, Hermann Nicoli, welcomed their second son, baby Ariel.

They are already parents to toddler Anacan. The supermodel, who is originally from South Africa, rose to fame for her work with lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret, and was list as number eight on the list of top earning all over the world in 2016.
