Barbie makes a splash! Bikini-clad Margot Robbie leaps into the ocean during a lavish yacht trip with her rarely-seen husband Tom Ackerley and pal Rami Malek in Formentera

Margot Robbie looked to be having the time of her life as she hung out with pals on a lavish yacht in the  Mediterranean moored near the Spanish island of Formentera.

The Hollywood actress, 32, who is set to play the тιтular character in the upcoming Barbie film, leapt off the boat while holding hands with friends before hanging out with her husband Tom Ackerley.

The Wolf Of Wall Street star, who’s married to British film producer Tom, 32, was joined by friends including A-lister Rami Malek, 41, aboard the luxury vessel.

Margot looked incredible in a mustard yellow triangle ʙικιɴι, which highlighted her toned midriff and long legs as she soaked up the rays in the skimpy swimwear.

Rami, who played Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody and the villainous Safin in James Bond: No Time To Die, stars alongside Australia-born Margot in the forthcoming film Amsterdam.

He looked cool in a white T-shirt and a pair of stylish shades.

The two clearly hit it off during filming as they spent time together on holiday after the film wrapped, with the duo joining a host of other friends to kick back in the sun following their hard work.

The Oscar nominee appeared to be enjoying her break from working on the film, reclining on the back of the vessel with her spouse.

They were seen helping a female companion out of the water and onto the back of the yacht.

Margot rarely speaks about her marriage to Tom. The couple have been married since 2016 after first meeting in 2013 on set of World War II drama Suite Française in France.

The pair went on to become roommates with a group of other friends and lived together in a property in London.

In an interview with Elle in 2018, blonde beauty Margot admitted that she and Tom had initially decided to keep their romantic relationship to themselves. She said: ‘We kept it a secret. Because we weren’t really taking it seriously. ‘Oh, whatever, we’re just mates, we’re just mates.’ And then… everyone found out.’

On her friends finding out, she recalled: ‘It was dramatic. I’m not going into the details, but s**t hit the fan. Our house turned into The Jerry Springer Show for a moment there. But then the dust settled, and it was all good.’

Margot was paid a whopping USD$12.5million to star in the Barbie film,  reported.

Robbie’s latest earnings exceeds her reported $10million salary for her latest blockbuster, Birds Of Prey in 2020.

Margot’s co-star Ryan Gosling reportedly pocketed the same salary as his Barbie movie counterpart, with the pair ranking equal 16th on Variety’s newest list of Hollywood’s top earners.

Barbie, based on the eponymous Mattel doll line, stars Margot as Barbie and Ryan as her longtime love interest Ken.

Robbie said: ‘Now, can we truly honour the IP and the fan base and also surprise people? Because if we can do all that and provoke a thoughtful conversation, then we’re really firing on all cylinders.’

A synopsis on IMDB of the upcoming film reads: ‘A doll living in ‘Barbieland’ is expelled for not being perfect enough and sets off on an adventure in the real world.

‘A live-action feature film based on the popular line of Barbie toys.’

The film is being touted as ‘a fish-out-of-water story about a doll who is ousted from toy society for not being perfect enough’, according to a report by Vulture.

She then comes to the realisation that what’s on the inside is more important than her appearance.

Barbie, which now has the distinction of being the first live-action film adaptation in the toyline’s multimedia franchise, is slated for release in July 2023.
