“Boys in their 20s are a waste of time”: Megan Fox Called The Batman Robert Pattinson Too Immature For Her When He Was Only 22-Years-Old

Megan Fox and Robert Pattinson have had similar trajectories in their early career as they became household names by starring in big franchises. Fox’s breakout role was as Mikaela Banes in 2007’s Transformers and its sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. 2009’s Jennifer’s Body would become her most celebrated film in which she played the lead.

Similarly, Pattinson starred in Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire and broke out as Edward Cullen in the Twilight films. As contemporaries in the industry, people like to talk about them and compare their works. In 2009, the actress did not have nice things to say about ‘immature men’ in their 20s, like Pattinson and Zac Efron.

Megan Fox Blasted Robert Pattinson By Calling Him Too Immature For Her

By the late 2000s, Megan Fox had become a bankable name in the industry, with her scene-stealing appearances in Michael Bay’s first two Transformers films. The actress was on the rise to become the next big thing along with many of her peers. One of them was Robert Pattinson, who had become the ultimate heartthrob as Edward Cullen in the first Twilight film in 2008.

However, it seems Fox was not as impressed with Pattinson as many other women in the world who were obsessed with the actor. The Transformers star criticized him and Zac Efron for being too pretty with their big hair and suits. Fox even ridiculed men in their twenties by calling them a joke and a waste of time.

Pattinson was 22 at the time, and Fox further criticized men in their 20s claiming that they have nothing interesting to offer and are very immature. She believed she will connect more with men in their 30s as she admitted to living the life of a 35-year-old since she was 18. The actress said (via Glamour),

(Robert Pattinson) and Zac (Efron) – they’re just too pretty with the big hair and the suits. And Rob is, what, 22? Zac is 21? That’s a joke. Boys in their 20s are a waste of time. They have nothing to offer conversationally; they’re immature. I feel like I have a better sH๏τ with someone in his 30s. I’ve lived the life of a 35-year-old since I was 18.

While her comments could come off as self-indulgent and overtly proud, the actress did admit that these are just her perceptions and has nothing against Pattinson. The two have come a long way and have created their own path in the industry.

Jennifer’s Body Writer Would Love to Bring Megan Fox For A Sequel/ Prequel

Megan Fox‘s Jennifer’s Body has become a cult favorite among fans and they have been clamoring for a sequel to the film. The film’s writer, Diablo Cody, is also interested in going back to that world and he told Comicbook.com that he would love to bring back Fox and Amanda Seyfried for another film.

Cody further stated that she has had various ideas for a follow-up film and she is waiting for the right partner to bankroll the project with. The writer said,

I mean I would love to bring Megan and Amanda back – that would be ideal. I want to go back to that world so badly that I’ve thought of various permutations that we could do. Like we could do a prequel; we could do a sequel; we could do a musical. I’m like, ‘Anything anyone wants to do, I’m down. I just need to find the right partner’.
Fox was last seen in 2023’s Expen4bles which tanked badly at the box office. She will next be seen in the upcoming sci-fi thriller Subservience where she stars alongside Michele Morrone, Madeline Zima, and Andrew Whipp.
