1 She Eats Different Portion Sizes Throughout The Day

Swanepoel opened up about some of her wellness secrets in an interview with InStyle. She says that she pays attention to how big her portion sizes are with each meal, and varies the size throughout the day. “One meal in the day will be lighter than others, probably during lunch I will [eat something] heavier so that my body has time to burn it off. Night-time is something lighter, and I will always have a big breakfast.”

2 She Has A Fast Metabolism

Swanepoel does a lot of work to try to stay healthy. However, she does admit that she has good genes and isn’t as affected by junk food as other people are. “I’ve been lucky—I was born with quite a fast metabolism,” she admits to The Cut. “I’m that girl who orders the healthy plate with a side of fries.”

One of Swanepoel’s favorite ways to stay in shape is by practicing yoga. She told PopWorkouts that she likes to do yoga as an alternative to her hardcore cardio routines. “When I’m too tired to box, I do yoga. Swanepoel and her fellow Victoria’s Secret Angels work with trainer Justin Gelbrand to keep them runway ready. Gelbrand tells PopWorkouts that while he devises different workouts for each girl, he focuses on full-body training. “Most of the Victoria’s Secret girls are concerned about their ʙuтт, hips and thighs. I devise a circuit class based on all the different body parts.”

5 She’s Learning More About Health

Swanepoel tells PopWorkouts that her sessions with Gelbrand aren’t just doing workouts at the gym. She says that she has learned more about health and the body in general from him, and that this has helped her stay in shape. “It’s everything in between. He has taught me so much about nutrition, health, and generally understanding how my body functions.”
