Candice Swanepoel reveals her beauty secrets and How she is worth being an angel

How do you keep your hair looking healthy? Because there are always people working on my hair, I use hydration masks which I leave on overnight and wash out in the morning. Or I use natural oils that I have around the house. My recipe is simple; a mixture of natural oils, coconut and argan oil. What are the beauty products that you have on you at all times? Rose water oil, lip balm, fragrant oil and a good moisturizing cream Biotherm, Replumping and smoothing lip balm

What is your method to destress? I think that yoga has taught me breathing techniques, I take deep slow breaths. What is your technique to feel comfortable in front of the camera? It is all a question of preparation, knowing that my skin is flawless and that I have worked out gives me confidence.

What sports do you do to keep in shape? I like to change it up, I do yoga, swimming, boxing and I have just started paddle boarding but I think that Pilates is my favorite. When I am in New York, I do an hour of resistance training with Justin Gelband, who has been my trainer for 9 years. Do you eat any special food before a shoot to be at your best? I reduce my salt and sodium intake like soya sauce for example. I drink a lot of smoothies mixing oils, collagen powder and anti-oxidant fruits which is great for my skin and I have very balanced diet.

What are your thoughts on the latest juice diet craze? I love juices, they are a crucial part of my diet but I don’t think I would be able to live on just juices. I would be in a very bad mood! What is your secret for staying energetic? Although it was difficult at first, I have quit drinking coffee completely and now that I am not dependent on it I feel a lot more energetic without ups and downs. I also avoid a lot of wheat first thing in the morning.

What is your guilty pleasure food-wise? I love a croissant, especially in Paris, all the bread and patisseries are so delicious! What snacks do you carry on you? When I travel, I always have different nuts on me, especially Brazil nuts and almonds, which are great for your hair and nails. Otherwise I have protein bars or fruit, I think I have a banana in my bag right now.

What are your thoughts when you look at yourself at the mirror? That depends on my mood, I am just grateful for what I’ve been given and that I’m healthy. Where do you go to recharge your batteries? At home in New York or Brazil. It is the best place for me to unwind after a really stressful time. I love naps, they are my guilty pleasure.
