Victoria Secret supermodel Candice Swanepoel modeled her latest swimwear designs from her eco-friendly swimwear line Tropic Of C.
The founder and creative director showed off her toned body in an espresso brown ʙικιɴι with low rise bottoms and classic triangle top style. She accessorized with nothing else but a gold body chain.
The South African native showcased her tan and toned physique as she stretched and leaned back in a patio chair.
The ʙικιɴι she was showcasing was released last month as a part of the brand’s Resort 23 collection shortly before her birthday.The model and businesswoman received love as her close friends posted pictures and birthday wishes on social media.
One of them was fellow supermodel Joan Smalls.
The 2023 collection features multiple ʙικιɴιs, dresses, one-pieces, and cover-ups.
After years of being one of Victoria’s Secret top models and gracing magazine covers with the likes of Vogue, Swanepoel resolved to launch her own swimsuit brand.
The model collaborated with Daniela Manfredi, who worked for eight years as Senior Vice President and Creative Director at Victoria’s Secret.
Swanepoel confessed that her pᴀssion came to fruition after just serving as a creative outlet.
‘I love pH๏τography and imagery and beauty in general. I had been working and shooting swim for so many years, and as a way of keeping my mind working during pH๏τoshoots, I would analyze the product,’ she commented to Forbes in 2019.
Swanepoel continued to explain that she took a break from modeling when she became a new mom in 2016. She decided then to pursue her fashion design and entrepreneurial pᴀssions.
The South African beauty shares two children — Anaca, 6, and Ariel, 4 — with her ex-fiancé, Brazilian model Hermann Nicoli.
The then-couple welcomed their first son, Anaca, in October 2016. Their son’s name pays homage to Nicoli’s Brazilian roots and is Brazilian slang for the word ‘bird’. Only a year later, the couple had their second son Ariel in December 2017.
Swanepoel was discovered in 2003 by a talent scout in a local South African flea market. She moved to Europe shortly after to pursue a modeling career. It was there that the then-17-year-old model met Nicoli, 40, in Paris.
Swanepoel revealed she almost gave up on modeling because she felt so lonely in the industry and working in Europe. She confessed, ‘Every day, I was working with different people who were speaking different languages, so I was never able to form any relationships. I just wanted to go home.’
Fortunately, she never quit. By 2010, the model became a Victoria’s Secret Angel and has walked the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show every year.
The couple became engaged in 2015. After 14 years together, they ended their relationship without tying the knot.
Most recently, the top model and Tropic of C businesswoman teamed up with creative studio Love Want and covered their magazine, pH๏τographed by Paola Kudacki.
This was after being rumored to be seen out and about with rapper Kanye West, who was previously married to Kim Kardashian, in early September.
