Fans Criticize Kourtney Kardashian’s Birthday Extravagance: ‘How Much Cake Was Thrown in the Trash’

Kourtney Kardashian doesn’t turn 45 until April 18, but she’s already relishing in her birthday festivities—and fans think she’s doing too much.

The reality star, who comes from a family known for their over-the-top celebrations—especially when it comes to their kids—seems to be kicking off her own birthday week with a look back at a mulтιтude of cakes she’s enjoyed over the years, captioning a carousel of pH๏τos and videos highlighting the gorgeous desserts “mood,” though many fans are interpreting it as a glimpse at cakes served this year alone.

While a couple of childhood pH๏τos were thrown in to break up the confections, the series mostly focused on the collection of cakes. In the first and a latter snap, Kardashian was pH๏τographed laughing over a giant cake with a sign reading, “Happy birthday to the most exciting to look at.” Close-ups also showed off cakes that read “Aries Baby,” “Just Living Life,” and “Happy Birthday Kourt” with a giant, heart-shaped donut in the middle. A brief video clip showed a fruit-covered brownie or chocolate tart with a sparkler placed on a plate decorated with chocolate sauce, while the final two slides showed two cakes side by side: a giant white cake covered in frosted roses and a slightly smaller cake decorated to look like a rainbow unicorn.

Fans debated whether this was all part of one giant birthday celebration, with one asking, “Damn how many cakes did you have 😮😂?”

“Exactly, absolutely ridiculous…” someone replied, while another suggested that “the real question is, how much cake was thrown in the trash 😂.”

Kardashian took a moment to tell the commenters that “none yet 🥳” has gone to waste, though it’s not clear if that’s because she hasn’t yet been served this year’s cake or if they’re still making their way through it—though, either way, it certainly implies that it won’t all be put to good use.

Others were desperate to know if Kardashian and her famous family “really eat any of [their] birthday cakes,” ᴀsserting that “we seriously need to know.”
