‘I get it’ – Sean Strickland breaks character after revealing he received sad message from Megan Fox

Sean Strickland has promised to dial back his trash talk on one particular subject after receiving a message from Megan Fox.

The former middleweight champion is one of the wackiest characters in MMA and is known for saying and doing lots of outrageous stuff, which often gets him into trouble.

Earlier this year, Fox became the focus of his trolling after he clashed with the actress’s boyfriend, Machine Gun Kelly [MGK], at a Power Slap event.

Strickland made transphobic comments about her three children’s fashion choices before Fox reached out to him on social media to reveal the impact of his words.

The UFC star, who went into graphic detail about how big of a Fox fan he is, temporarily dropped his bad boy persona after learning her family was subjected to hate messages because of him

“Megan Fox DM’d me. It wasn’t that kind of DM,” Strickland said on Verse Us with Eric Nicksick.

“So, she hit me up and I was like, ‘Fame level reached.’

“The message was actually kind of f***** up. It was more like, ‘Hey, my kids get bullied, and I get bullied online because you said they’re trans. They’re not trans, they wanna dress like rock stars.”

Strickland appeared genuinely remorseful and revealed that he had promised never to make comments like that again – but he was quick to mock Fox about other stuff.

He added: “I’m just like, ‘Sorry Megan, I’ll shut the f*** up about it.’

“But I’m like, ‘You still drink blood and s***. You still do a lot of weird s***, Megan.’

“There is a point where I shouldn’t be making fun of your f****** kids, I get it. But it’s more MGK, bro. This motherf*****, dude.’”

After ranting about the rapper, Strickland returned to the topic fans were tuning in for as he spoke about Israel Adesanya’s loss to Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 305.

The American, who beat Adesanya before losing his belt to du Plessis, thinks it proves that the New Zealander was never as good as people thought.

“When he fought Kelvin [Gastelum], I think Kelvin sucks [but] everyone’s like ‘Izzy is this and that’. I’ve sparred Kelvin so many times [since], where I’m like ‘You kind of had a close fight against Kelvin?’

“You’re not that f***** good. You fought f**** [Paulo] Costa, Costa was scared sh****** of you, you f***** blew on him he fell asleep, Izzy is just not that f***** good.

“When I say you’re not that good, I’m not talking about 90 per cent of the roster, I’m talking about the 10 per cent of the f***** most elite guys – and you’re not in that.”

“I was a fan of Izzy. I hope he enjoys retirement.”
