‘It’s not fixed’: Margot Robbie claims Hollywood still has Sєxual harᴀssment problems

Margot Robbie has revealed that there are still problems with abuse in Hollywood following the #MeToo movement.

The social movement went viral in 2017 following numerous Sєxual-abuse allegations against Harvey Weinstein, with the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Lawrence and Uma Thurman leading a number of high profile stars discussing their experiences.

Yet Margot, 32, has revealed that there’s still a long way to go before Hollywood can say it’s clear of Sєxual predators, noting ‘it’s a big ship to turn around.’

The Oscar-nominated actress went on to note that the main issue with workplace harᴀssment was the ‘grey area’ predators rely on, admitting that she didn’t truly understand it herself until she signed on for Bombshell.

She revealed: ‘It’s that deep dive into what Sєxual harᴀssment in a workplace can be.

‘I realized that I — as a person with an established position in the industry, financially set up and self-sufficient — I didn’t know the definition of Sєxual harᴀssment, and that’s shocking, that’s terrible.

‘It horrified me how little – how that crime plays in a grey area.  Roger Ailes or Harvey Weinstein, they take advantage of the area. The situation isn’t black and white.’

Ailes died in 2017, at the age of 77 after a subdural hematoma.

Weinstein was sentenced to 23 years in prison in New York in 2020 in connection with convictions of rape in the third degree in 2013, and forcibly performing oral Sєx in 2006.

He is currently involved in a criminal trial in connection with allegations of rape and Sєxual ᴀssault in Los Angeles, where he faces up to 60 years in prison.
