Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian have received a wave of congratulations since publicly announcing her pregnancy, but not from everyone. Travis’ ex-wife Shanna Moakler recently had a salty reaction to the news.
Earlier this week, the model posted a selfie with the caption, “This too shall pᴀss.” Some of the comments began speculating whether this was a reference to all of the hoopla surrounding Travis and Kourtney’s pregnancy news.
When asked for her thoughts on the pregnancy, Shanna replied, “I’ve known for weeks this is not new news to me.” She also said her post’s caption was a reference to her parents, not her ex-husband.
Travis And Kourtney Quit IVF Before Getting Pregnant
Travis and Shanna were married from 2004 to 2006 and welcomed two children during their relationship. The Blink-182 drummer also remains close to Shanna’s older daughter, whose biological father is boxer Oscar De La Hoya. Kourtney also has three children from her decade-long relationship with Scott Disick.
Despite having six kids between them, Travis and Kourtney have been vocal about their desire to have a child together. After trying to get pregnant naturally with no success, the couple turned to fertility treatments.
However, Kourtney revealed on The Kardashians last year that she had stopped IVF treatments, though she suggested she may resume them in the future.
“We are officially done with IVF,” the reality star stated. “We would love a baby more than anything, but I really believe in what God has in store for us. If that’s a baby, I believe it will happen.”
Earlier this month, Kourtney announced her pregnancy during Blink-182’s performance at Los Angeles’ BMO Stadium. Standing at the front of the crowd, Kourtney held up a sign reading “Travis I’m pregnant!” Cameras eventually caught sight of the Kardashian as well as Travis’ bandmates, before encouraging him to go down to the audience and kiss his wife.
This Isn’t The First Time Shanna Has Dissed Kourtney And Travis
Shanna’s lack of enthusiasm about Kourtney’s pregnancy isn’t surprising, as she hasn’t been a fan of Travis’ new relationship ever since he was first romantically connected to Kourtney in 2021.
Shortly after Travis and Kourtney got together, Shanna criticized them for hurting her relationship with her children. “My family is broken because of this family, and now my kids and I are alienated from each other because of another sister in the family, so yay for me.…Thanks for destroying my family twice,” she wrote online.
Moreover, Shanna previously alleged Travis had an affair with Kourtney’s younger sister Kim Kardashian when they were still married.
She’s also criticized Travis and Kourntye for showing too much affection in front of their children.
“I think it’s in poor taste to have your new girlfriend sit there while you put a skull and cross bones over my name and post it,” she told Us Weekly “But why post about it if you’re not trying to shade me? And then, of course, you know, my kids see that. They see their father basically insulting their mother, you know?”
Shanna may not be a fan of Kourtney, but her children have praised the reality star as a step-mother, and were also quick to express their congratulations on Kourtney’s pregnancy. Only time will tell if the shade from Shanna keeps coming.
