Khloe Kardashian’s ex-ᴀssistant demands over $25K and a trial after he claims reality star fired him while injured

KHLOE Kardashian’s ex-ᴀssistant Matthew Manhard has demanded a trial with a jury as he claims she “wrongfully fired” him in court papers while he was injured, The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal.

Matthew sued Khloe, 38, for firing him after he allegedly injured his knee and had to request a prolonged leave of absence.

According to new court documents obtained by The U.S. Sun, Matthew has requested a jury trial – which has yet to be scheduled – as he looks to sue Khloe for over $25,000.

In Khloe’s case management statement, she also requested a jury trial, as her legal team projected the trial will last over four to six days, while Matthew’s team thinks it will take place over five to seven.

No mediation and settlement conferences have been scheduled yet for Matthew, and Khloe needs to arrange her mediation.

Although it appears the court date will be far off in the future, Matthew claimed in his case management statement that the amount he has demanded “exceeds $25,000.”

KHLOE’S KASH
Back in February, TMZ reported Khloe had been sued for firing Matthew after he allegedly injured his knee and had to request a prolonged leave of absence.

According to the lawsuit, Matthew worked for Khloe from January 2019 to November 2022 wherein he claims she violated 12 California labor laws.

Among the complaints, he claimed she wouldn’t give him legally required breaks and wouldn’t compensate him for overtime, despite pulling 12-hour days.

KHLOE’S SIDE
According to TMZ, Khloe’s legal representation responded in a statement: “It’s unfortunate to learn that a former employee would choose to go this route.

“Matthew was properly classified and compensated for his role.”

Khloe’s rep told a different side of the story and shared: “Toward the end of his employment, he was on a leave of absence for an extended period of time and the role eventually needed to be replaced.”

The Kardashian’s legal rep concluded: “We will not tolerate false accusations and will prove that this is a frivolous lawsuit.”

BOSS FROM HELL!
The U.S. Sun previously reported Matthew alleged in his suit that his mental health suffered after getting “wrongfully fired” by the reality star.

According to legal documents obtained by The U.S. Sun, Khloe’s former employee of one of her California properties claims she acted with “oppression, fraud, and malice,” by “humiliating” him.

In addition to Khloe being charged with violating 12 California State labor laws, her former employee is also claiming damage to his mental health.

The complaint from Matthew states the Kardashian reality star ultimately firing him “has caused damage to [his] professional reputation, as well as [his] income and other benefits.”

Matthew’s attorney continued: “Moreover, Manhard has also suffered, and continued to suffer, extensive general damages in the form of anxiety, anguish, and mental suffering.”

The complaint went on to detail: “As a proximate result of [Khloe’s] wrongful termination of Manhard’s employment, Manhard has suffered fright, nervousness, grief, anxiety, worry, shame, mortification, injured feelings, mental suffering, shock, humiliation and indignity, as well as other unpleasant physical, mental, and emotional reactions, all to Manhard’s damage in an amount according to proof at trial.”


Matthew described his terrible experience working for Khloe by claiming: “[Khloe] acted with oppression, fraud, malice, and in conscious disregard of Manhard’s rights and Manhard is therefore enтιтled to punitive damages in an amount according to proof at the time of trial.”

UNPAID FANS
Fans in an online Kardashian forum were not thrilled with the detail of the lawsuit if the allegations are true.

One said: “Very ignorant for women who pride themselves on being the best businesswomen and involved in all aspects.”

A second chimed in: “How are you rich and don’t f**king pay the people?”

Yet a third said: “I’m sure she will blame someone else and was ‘unaware’ and that person will take the fall and be fired.”

Another commented: “How does this situation always happen? I believe this same situation happened with Kim.

“In her case, multiple employees. It’s unbelievable.”
