Kourtney Kardashian Feels ‘Pulled in Different Directions’ With Her Blended Family With Travis Barker

Listen up, dolls! Kourtney Kardashian is dropping some hard truths about mom life — and blended family mom life in particular — and she is so real for that. In a recent episode of The Kardashians, the Lemme founder shared some of the struggles of prioritizing her seven kids with husband Travis Barker.

Kardashian is mom to Mason, 14, Penelope, 12, and Reign, 9, with ex Scott Disick. She has also been stepmom to Barker’s kids Landon, 20, and Alabama, 18, with ex Shanna Moakler, and Atiana de la Hoya, 25, who Barker helped raise, since their marriage in 2022. In Nov. 2023, she welcomed baby Rocky Thirteen with Barker. It’s a lot of kids to keep up with! And in the episode of her Hulu series that released today, Kardashian got candid about how hard it is to spend time with each child.

“I have kids all different age ranges — preteen, teenage, adults, infant — so I really do try to set aside one-on-one time with each of my kids,” Kardashian said in the episode, per Entertainment Tonight. “I don’t want to miss anything. It’s like a feeling of being pulled in different directions, wanting to be everything to everyone.”

It can be so hard to split time between your kids, whether you have two or seven or somewhere in between. Every child has different needs and when you add a newborn in the mix, who demands constant attention and round-the-clock care, well, it’s downright exhausting.

After Rocky was born, the Poosh founder spent 40 days at home with him, which ended when her eldest son broke his arm. “Mason broke his arm right when it turned 40 days where I felt like God was like, ‘Your 40 days are up. Get your a** out of the house,’” she told her friends in the episode. She recalled how Mason called her and told her that he was on the side of the road with a broken arm. Kardashian immediately left to take Mason to the hospital, pumping milk to send back home to baby Rocky.

“I didn’t even have any saved milk because I don’t leave him,” she continued. “But now I’m also feeling the guilt of all the kids.”

Elsewhere in the video, Kardashian explained why she decided to take 40 days at home with Rocky. “In many different cultures, women don’t leave the house after having a baby for 40 days, to let your body have that time to heal and beyond that,” Kardashian said, per PEOPLE. “I’m really into attachment parenting. I really don’t separate from him. I love being at home right now, like my time is dedicated to taking care of my baby and bonding with him.”
