The Kardashians season 5 viewers will likely recall Kourtney and her family heading to Australia for a vacation. Kourtney and her kids spent time in Sydney while her husband, Travis Barker, toured with his band, Blink-182. During the trip, Kourtney Kardashian explained she felt “sad” her eldest son, Mason Disick, wasn’t there. Now, she’s reportedly “heartbroken” over his decision “not to live with her.”
Not attending a family vacation is one thing. But, 14-year-old Mason is reportedly opting for even more space away from his mom, as he’s said to have chosen to live with his father, Scott Disick. Mason has been out of the media spotlight for some time. He appeared on Keeping Up With the Kardashians as a young child. But, these days fans are lucky to see new posts from his recently launched Instagram page, let alone a Kardashians appearance.
Mason ‘chooses not to live with Kourtney’
Mason Disick is reportedly spending more time with dad Scott, than his mom, Kourtney Kardashian, these days, and she’s “heartbroken” by his decision, Life & Style exclusively reports.
The 14-year-old is said to have opted to move out of his mom’s home amid the two having a “strained relationship.”
Life & Style’s source says: “He’s now made the decision not to live with Kourtney anymore… She is heartbroken over it. While Kourtney is giving Mason space to work through his feelings, at the end of the day, she blames Scott.”
Scott and Kourtney are parents to Mason, 14, Penelope, 12, and Reign, nine. Both Penelope and Reign feature in the latest Kardashians season. However, Mason stepped away from the show some time ago.
Kourtney is also a new mom to Rocky Barker. She and husband, Travis Barker, welcomed their first child together on November 1 last year.
‘Kourtney is doing her best’
Kardashians fans were given an idea of the dynamics of the Disick-Kardashian family during season 5.
During the Australia trip, Kourtney explains how she finds it “sad” how Mason isn’t there but understands that her son is a “teenager.”
She said he “wants to be with his friends and his dad.”
It’s clear to see from Mason’s Instagram page that he spends time with his friend group. Scott also takes to the ‘gram to share snaps of his kids regularly.
On July 23, Scott shared a snap of himself next to Mason who is sleeping on a plane, captioned: “Young blood knocked on the way home. Best friend 4 life.”
Life & Style source adds: “Kourtney’s doing her best to accept that Mason would rather be with Scott right now. She says it’s because he’s a teenage boy who needs his dad, but it’s not easy.”
