Lily Aldridge Has a Fresh Take on Black Tie Beauty

Romantic updos and slicked pony tails are the kind of beauty signatures typically paired with black tie frocks. But for a fresh twist on after hours hair, model Lily Aldridge stopped to smell the flowers last night, finishing off her ballerina bun with a few strategically placed pastel rosebuds.

The supermodel stepped out to celebrate the launch of her eponymous fragrance line in New York, clad in a two piece, floral printed Brock ensemble. While makeup pro Carolina Gonzalez gave her a natural flush for the big night out, celebrity hairstylist Danielle Priano raked the model’s brunette lengths back from her glowing collarbones and accessorized the effortless look with four small flowers, leaving some face-framing tendrils in front. Beyond nodding to the sweet days of summer, the floral detail seemed like an inspired reference to Aldridge’s newest eau de toilette, the peony and rose-scented Haven. And despite its specific inspirations for Aldridge, the timing is right for the just-picked style to make it onto moodboards everywhere come gala season.
