Her film Babylon is set at the height of the Roaring Twenties, as Hollywood begins to make the transition from silent films to the emerging talkies, which would soon become dominant.

Although more specific plot details are few and far between, Brad and Margot appear to be playing industry stars who get wrapped up in the cocaine-fueled debauchery of the movie business.

The film is set to blend fictional characters with real-life figures.

The film also stars Diego Calva in a leading role with Pitt and Robbie, along with Jovan Adepo, Jean Smart, Tobey Maguire, his longtime friend Lukas Haas, Olivia Wilde, Max Minghella and Eric Roberts, among many more.

Official reviews haven’t yet dropped, but social media reactions to the three-hour epic were decidedly polarized, with some viewers applauding the frontline actors, while others criticized the film as a mess.

It is written and directed by Damien Chazelle, who previously helmed the music drama Whiplash, the Oscar-winning musical La La Land and the acclaimed box office flop First Man, which starred Ryan Gosling as Neil Armstrong.

Babylon will be released in cinemas December 23.
