Margot Robbie shows off her strong ʙικιɴι body as she hits the surf with husband Tom Ackerley

When it comes to planning the perfect vacation, Margot Robbie needs more than just a shady sun bed.

The 28-year-old indulged her pᴀssion for adventure as she joined British ᴀssistant director husband Tom Ackerley for a spot of surfing off the coast of Costa Rica.

The two rode the waves together, with Margot showing her skill as she paddled out over the large waves, before managing to get to her feet on her yellow board.

After her energetic activity, Margot returned to shore, holding her board beneath an arm as she stepped confidently out of the ocean.

Her outfit of a cropped T-shirt and ʙικιɴι briefs highlighted her trim, strong figure, while her long blonde hair was tied back in a practical style.

The vacation wasn’t all about surfing, with Margot also fitting in a romantic beach stroll.

The I, Tonya star had swapped her swimwear for floral shorts and a flower in her hair as she enjoyed cocktails on the sand with Tom and some friends.

Actress Margot hails from Australia’s Gold Coast, where the 28-year-old grew up on a farm.

She loves to surf, a pᴀssion she regularly indulges with her husband, who married in a ceremony at Byron Bay two years ago.

In a recent interview she admitted she hated being alone, and liked to surround herself with people.

The Suicide Squad star told ES magazine: ‘I never do anything on my own. I don’t see the purpose of doing anything if I don’t do it with my friends. I go mental when I am on my own; my thoughts are so loud it drives me insane.’

Luckily Margot doesn’t have much time for loneliness, with her career keeping her constantly busy.

She will next star as the central character Harley Quinn in Birds Of Prey. The eagerly-awaited spin-off movie is based around a revolving group of female heroes and villains.

Margot – who first starred as Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad – is also set to produce the movie, which is expected to feature a villain that has never before appeared on screen.

The project is being directed by Cathy Y

an, who is best known for writing and directing her feature debut Dead Pigs. She is set to become the third female filmmaker to join the DC universe, while she is also the first Asian woman to direct a DC film.

Margot first pitched the idea of a Harley Quinn spin-off film in 2015, and she’s spent the last few years developing a clear idea for the project.

The Australian actress previously explained: ‘I pitched the idea of an R-rated girl gang film including Harley, because I was like, “Harley needs friends.” Harley loves interacting with people, so don’t ever make her do a standalone film.

‘She’s got to be with other people, it should be a girl gang. I wasn’t seeing enough girl gangs on screen, especially in the action space. So that was always a big part of it.’
