Megan Fox and Bunnie Xo Make Touching Cameos in Machine Gun Kelly and Jelly Roll’s Music Video for ‘Lonely Road’

Machine Gun Kelly and Jelly Roll are anything but lonely in the music video for their new single.

On Friday, July 26, the pair officially released their first-ever collaborative track “Lonely Road” — featuring a new spin on John Denver’s classic “Take Me Home, Country Roads” — along with the song’s heartfelt music video, which includes cameos from their other halves Megan Fox and Bunnie Xo.

The video, which sees the pair star as two men enduring financial difficulties while trying to provide for their families, begins with the duo attending a funeral while wearing all-black before they’re shown working at a car garage together.

As MGK, 34, sings, “I probably could’ve saved us but instead I let us crash / Cause I don’t trust no one to love me back / But she say I do and this is not the place for you,” Fox, 38, appears on the phone to the musician. MGK is later seen arriving home and planting a kiss on Fox’s lips and stomach, before opening a “Final Notice” demand.

The video then switches to footage of the couple standing by a lake with Fox appearing to have a baby bump as MGK skims a stone across the water.

Jelly Roll, 39, is then seen arriving home to find an upset Bunnie Xo reading a letter тιтled, “Infertility diagnosis and management” and comforting her. Last month, Jelly Roll revealed that he and his wife, 44, are undergoing IVF.

The following scenes show the foursome sat around a table together and praying as they hold hands, before MGK tells Jelly Roll, “I mean, there is a way we could solve all our money problems man.”

“I know. I can’t go back down that road, man,” replies Jelly Roll as MGK asks him to “look out” for him.

MGK is then showing riding his motorcycle and kissing Fox’s belly before he robs a bank and makes his getaway while being chased by the police.

As the police catch up to him, MGK kisses Fox goodbye before he is arrested, once again planting a kiss on her growing bump.

The words “8 months later” then flash up on the screen and Fox is seen cradling a baby in her arms and introducing the little one to Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo, before taking the baby girl to visit MGK in prison.

The baby is introduced at the end of the video as Baby Violet Leika. “My baby in the last scene,” her mother, Anna Cejka, later said on Instagram Stories, posting a clip of the video.

While “Lonely Road” was first teased on July 18, the musicians, who have dubbed themselves “KellyRoll,” wrote on Instagram days later that the song is a product of “2 years, 8 different studios, 4 different countries” and them having “changed the key 4 times.”

“Lonely road, take me home, to the place, we went wrong,” Jelly Roll sings in the song’s chorus, as an interpolation of Denver’s 1971 hit. “Where’d you go now, it’s been a ghost town, and I’m still here, all alone.”

The collab is a long time coming for both Jelly Roll and MGK, both of whom have roots in hip-hop and have also found success in other genres — MGK in pop-punk and Jelly Roll in country. Most recently, MGK too has made some movements in the country world, having shared a cover of Zach Bryan’s “Sun to Me” just last month.

Back in 2022, MGK opened up to The Hollywood Reporter about expanding his musical palette, and how he never “departed” from hip-hop despite adding new sounds to his catalog.

“So when they say ‘departed’ or when they say, ‘Oh, man, you switched.’ Motherf—er, are you dumb?! That’s literally telling you two plus two doesn’t equal four. It’s on paper, it’s black and white, it’s right there in front of you.”

Outside of now dabbling in some country, the rocker has had plenty else to celebrate in recent weeks, too. On July 25, he toasted his daughter Casie’s 15th birthday on Instagram. In honor of her big day, MGK shared a few wholesome snaps of Casie, whom he shares with ex Emma Cannon, in a carousel post — featuring images from throughout the years.

Alongside some newer pics of them posing next to pink balloons, the post contained a handful of images featuring Casie hanging with some of her dad’s famous friends like Lil Wayne, and even one of her touching MGK’s mohawk.

“The world spins but when I look at you it stops. Happy 15th princess 👑 🥰🥹,” the proud dad captioned his post.
