Megan Fox says she ‘hurt a lot of people’ due to addiction for love with ‘co-stars’

Megan Fox has revealed “a lot of people” have been in love with her as she admits she used to be “addicted to falling in love” with her on-screen colleagues.

The Jennifer’s Body star, 37, recently appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show, where she opened up about her “rebellious” love life when she was younger. Discussing her previous relationships, the actress revealed she had a habit of falling for “every new costar” in the earlier stages of her Hollywood career.

She said: “When I was young, I was really rebellious and wild and was always running away to fall in love with a new love, every new costar.” Describing herself as a “free spirit”, Megan admitted she likely left a string of broken hearts behind during her addiction to falling in love.

She added: “I was addicted to falling in love, and I think I probably hurt a lot of people in that process too because a lot of people have been in love with me and I did not respect or honour that.” But Megan, who shares three sons — Noah Shannon, 11, Bodhi Ransom, 9, and Journey River, 7 — with her ex-husband Brian Austin Green, revealed everything changed when she became a mother.

She explained: “When I had kids, something happened in me where… I think it’s a major part of my soul’s journey in this lifetime to not repeat my parents’ pattern with my kids, and I was always very aware of that, so this selfless person was born when I birthed my first child.”

Drew also quizzed Megan about the worst thing she’s done to one of her exes but she refused to spill the details, responding: “I don’t know if that’s something I can say on TV.” But she did share one story from her “wild” dating days.

She recalled: “When I was young, I did have a temper and I was wild, I got mad and I took a bunch of paint and I painted a Friedrich Nietzsche quote all over [this guy’s] wall, so he had to repaint his house afterwards. It was like a really angry quote about, like, how life is futile, you suck basically. So he had to repaint the bedroom.”

Megan has just released a book тιтled Pretty Boys Are Poisonous, featuring more than 80 poems inspired by her “complicated” love life. The dark poems refer to a “32-year-old narcissist” and “complacent rock star” as well as a “self-absorbed idiot” she claims left her broken.

But the Transformers star admitted to Drew she hasn’t always been the best partner to her ex’s either. “Anyone who dated me in my early 20s should probably write their own poetry book, because I was not a peach,” she said.

When it came to her own book, Megan revealed her fiancé, Machine Gun Kelly, supported her throughout the writing process. “I think it helps that he’s an artist himself and recognizes that he has this outlet where he gets to experience his catharsis through songwriting — where he gets to express his pain in that way,” she said.

She continued: “As an actor, you don’t really have that, because I’m reading someone else’s dialogue. So I don’t really get to go to work and put my experiences and my pain into my art. So he recognized that I needed an outlet for that, and when you love someone, you’re not gonna deny them their right to experience a relief from their suffering.”
