Outlander’s Brian Fraser actor Andrew Whipp to star opposite Megan Fox in thriller

Outlander’s Brian Fraser actor Andrew Whipp will be starring in an exciting movie opposite Megan Fox.

Whipp hasn’t been in the Starz period drama since its very first season but is closely ᴀssociated with Outlander as he portrayed Highlander Jamie Fraser’s (played by Sam Heughan) dad.

A few years before meeting Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe), Jamie was being flogged by Captain Black Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies) in public, leaving his dad heartbroken.

As a result of the shock, Brian collapsed and suffered an apoplexy before being taken to Lallybroch to recover.

Sadly, he died a few days later, bringing Jamie’s lifelong hatred of Black Jack to a whole new level.

Since leaving the romantic drama behind, actor Whipp has been in Shetland, Bodies, Six Four and Vera, just to name a few.

He now has a new movie listed on his IMDb page enтιтled Subservience which is currently in post-production.

According to the synopsis, the sci-fi thriller “follows a struggling father who purchases a domestic SIM to help care for his house and family, unaware she will gain awareness and turn ᴅᴇᴀᴅly.”

It isn’t clear what role Whipp is going to play in Subservience but actress Megan Fox is listed as the number one star so it is thought she is going to be behind the “domestic SIM”.

The actress, who was until recently, in a relationship with Machine Gun Kelly, is best known for her work in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, ABC sitcom Hope and Faith and the Transformer franchise.

She also starred in a couple of seasons of New Girl as Nick Miller’s (Jake Johnson) love interest Reagan Lucas.

Whipp and Kelly will be starring alongside some other familiar faces in Subservience as well, including Californication’s Madeline Zima, 365 Days’ Michele Morrone and Hellboy’s Atanas Srebrev.

But Whipp’s time on Outlander, despite his character’s death, isn’t quite over.
