Scott Disick ‘concerned’ about ex Kourtney Kardashian over ‘family rift’ fears

Kourtney Kardashian revealed her heartbreak after son Mason decided to snub a family holiday to Australia in a recent episode of The Kardashians.

Her 14-year-old decided to stay with dad Scott Disick, instead of joining the getaway with her new husband Travis Barker. Kourtney told cameras the teen’s decision made her “really sad”, with an insider now delving into more detail about a reported ‘family rift’.Sources say Scott fears his ex will ‘create a deeper divide’ with their shared kids, Mason, Penelope, 11, and Reign, nine, by cutting him out of family holidays. “Scott knows that Mason didn’t want to go on vacation with his mom because of Travis,” they claimed.

“Before Travis came along, Scott and Kourtney were vacationing together with the kids – not as a couple, but as friends who were both dedicated to their kids,” the insider told MailOnline. “This is obviously not going to happen again and Scott thinks that Travis should not have a problem with family vacations if he was comfortable in his marriage.

“Heck, he could even come if he wanted to. Instead of doing co-parenting the way that they used to, Scott believes that she is creating a deeper divide between herself and her kids with Scott. Mason is a classic example of this. He lives with his dad and Scott would gladly let any of his children live with him. It is a much more stable environment,” they added.

The Mirror has contacted Kourtney, Travis and Scott’s representatives for comment. Despite Mason’s decision, Kourtney was focused on enjoying quality time with her children who did make the trip, especially after being cooped up at home post-birth.

In the latest episode of The Kardashians, she said: “I am in Australia, we made it. We’ve been having the best time.” Kourtney explained her eagerness to soak up Sydney life, saying, “Travis is touring to different cities in Australia for about a week, but because I was on bedrest before, and then having a newborn at home, I haven’t really had any outings with my other kids, so really I wanted to stay in Sydney.”

Adding a touch of humour to the family dynamics, young Reign couldn’t help but comment on his mum and step-dad’s public displays of affection during their Aussie adventure. The Kardashian clan were caught on camera enjoying a lavish boat ride down under, with Kourtney and Travis Barker taking it easy within the vessel’s lavished interiors.

Little Reign was not so keen on his mother’s PDA with her man as he walked in on them mid-smooch, exclaiming: “Mom! Stop making out with Travis, bro. Like, didn’t you just have a baby? Don’t get another one this quick.” Kourtney and Travis merely chuckled at Reign’s outburst while continuing their snuggled embrace.

Things heated up as Travis leaned in to plant a kiss on Kourtney’s neck prompting Reign to call out: “Are you giving her a hickey now?” Taken aback, Travis denied the accusation calling it a “gentle kiss”, whilst Kourtney admitted: “I just missed him.”

Later, in a confessional segment, Kourtney defended her actions saying, “I think it’s a beautiful thing to see parents, especially ones that just had a new baby, be affectionate and loving. There’s nothing wrong with that,” she said.

Kourtney and Travis find joy in their large, mixed family, having welcomed their first child together, Rocky Thirteen Barker, in November last year. Kourtney recently confessed she feels “pulled in different directions” due to her efforts to dedicate time to each of her children. “I have kids all different age ranges – preteen, teenage, adult and infants – so I really do try to set aside one-on-one time with each of my kids. I don’t wanna miss anything. It’s like a feeling of being pulled in different directions, like wanting to be everything to everyone,” she revealed on The Kardashians.
