Strength Train With Victoria’s Secret Angel Candice Swanepoel

The Victoria’s Secret Angels are currently working (and working out!) hard preparing for their famous — and nationally televised — annual runway show. (Exhibit A? Look at Alessandra!) And with just a month til the show hits your TV, we wanted to challenge you guys to get fit with the VS girls. We were lucky enough to exclusively snag four — yes, four! — of the coveted Angels’ workouts, all in video form, for you to try at home. (And you can practice first by following our GIFs!) Do this workout and you’ll feel Sєxy, shapely and ready for those holiday parties after sweating like an Angel all month long. No million-dollar bra guarantee, though.

Today we’re sweatin’ it out with Candice Swanepoel, the gazelle-like blonde who will be rocking the uber-coveted Million Dollar Bra down the catwalk. To prep for all those carats she’ll be sportin’, she works with small Velcro weights — which you can wrap around your hands or your ankles — and her celebrity trainer, Justin Gelband. The beauty of small weights like these, explains Swanepoel, is that “they’re great for travel. I can use them in my H๏τel room!” First, try some of Candice’s workout moves for size, then watch the video below for the full 20-30 minute workout. While we can’t promise instant model-esque results, we can promise you’ll work up a solid sweat.

Start with feet slightly apart and knees bent. Stretch through the right side of body, pushing right leg back, and use your right arm to throw a cross punch. Repeat 10-15 times; switch to left arm and repeat for one set.

Hold weights at your sides, elbows tucked in. Stretch your right leg behind you, sweep to the left, and bring back to starting point. Then, lift leg and crunch into oblique. Switch sides; repeat for 10-15 reps.

Stagger the feet with a slight bend in your front leg. Hold weights firm to work biceps and triceps as you lunge down very slowly. Continue with low, light little bends. After 15 reps, switch sides to complete the set.
