Supermodel Candice Swanepoel (26) has worked more runways than most aspiring models could dream of, but even an icon isn’t exempt from falling face first at New York Fashion Week.
The South African native was one of the big names booked for Givenchy’s showcase at NYFW on Friday, but a pair of loose heels got the better of her as she tripped and fell flat on her face on the catwalk.
Three kind FROW-ers jumped from their seats to help her as she struggled to stand up again on her own. Ever the consummate professional, ared-faced Swanepoel continued on in such a way we haven’t seen since Madonna’s Armani cape got the better of her at the Brits.
And the Victoria’s Secret Angel later laughed off the incident on social media.
“Thank you to who ever picked me up off the runway tonight. Left with little scratches but mostly a bruised ego,” she captioned a pH๏τo of her bruised knees on Instagram.
