The Pockets Are One of the Best Parts of Candice Swanepoel’s Denim Line

Whether she’s in lingerie, couture or sportswear, Candice Swanepoel knows how to wear clothes and look good doing it. But the supermodel’s latest project doesn’t tackle any of the expected styles we’re used to seeing her strut in. Instead, she’s bringing us good ol’ fashion denim via her collaboration with Mother. Let’s put it this way: the line has us ready to clear some serious space in our jean drawers.

But hey, when you wear clothes for a living, you become an expert on all things style, fit and body-related, right? Translation: leave it to Candice’s supermodel know-how to craft the perfect line of comfortable and flattering “girl off-duty” styles.

The line has a notably ’90s vibe (her inspiration coming from an old-school Pepsi Super Bowl commercial featuring Cindy Crawford stunning in denim short-shorts), and somehow combines the relaxed look with a Sєxier update. Of the fit, she explains that she paid special attention to issues all women (including herself!) go through when it comes to fit in the waist, legs and, of course, the ʙuтт.

Aside from catering to the way women look and feel in the denim, the collection raises awareness for a cause near to Candice’s heart: with every purchase a portion of the proceeds will go to mothers2mothers—a South African-based organization which works to prevent the spread of HIV from mothers to their children.

And if the heart-warming cause and stellar fit don’t have you convinced, perhaps the fact that each pair is sтιтched with Candice’s family crest—a swan in a pool of water—will do the trick (the sentimental embellishment can be found on each pair’s front right-hand coin pocket). Talk about an adorable finishing touch.
