Victoria’s Secret angel Candice Swanepoel in behind the scenes Max Factor video

She’s well-known for her natural beauty so it’s hardly surprising that supermodel and Victoria’s Secret angel Candice Swanepoel has been snapped up to front a ‘barely there’ make-up campaign.

The 25-year-old, who was hailed by Maxim as the H๏τtest woman of the year, has been unveiled as the face of Max Factor’s latest advert and, as these behind the scenes snaps show, they couldn’t have chosen a more suitable candidate.

Candice is the face of the beauty house’s Skin Luminizer foundation, which aims to conceal imperfections and leave a dewy complexion.

Victoria Beckham is a fan of the product, which was exclusively previewed at the designer’s AW14 show at New York Fashion Week.

Pat McGrath used the foundation on the models to reveal Victoria’s ‘cool interpretation of modern day glamour’ with a contemporary ɴuᴅᴇ beauty look that aimed to embody the current and sophisticated spirit of the collection.

Speaking at the time, Pat said: ‘Victoria wanted the girls to stay looking very natural, almost as themselves, but to enhance their beauty with simple touches of make-up.

‘This included important details such as adding extra luminosity to the skin. It was about natural glamour that’s so modern and relevant to today.’

Backstage, Pat McGrath kick-started the make-up application by mᴀssaging ultra-dewy, hydrating moisturisers into the models skin. Next Pat applied the foundation using her fingers  for precision.

Once perfected, she used tissue to gently rub off any excess from the cheeks, unveiling the models own soft but subtle skin glow. The result was a flawless, finish that looked ‘lit from within’.

As well as glowing skin, South African model Candice has an enviable physique.

She recently opened up about how she achieves and maintains her incredible figure, admitting she’s been blessed with a fast metabolism but still strives to eat well and works out.

‘Food-wise, I’m very, very lucky that I can eat whatever I want. For me, I’ve always had a healthy lifestyle. If I eat something that’s not fresh, I feel it immediately, so I crave good food,’ she told OK! Magazine.

‘I crave meat. I grew up on a dairy and beef farm, so I crave that. I don’t cut anything out, and I just work out more,’ she explained.

Candice enjoys yoga and boxing, but when it comes to training she told FitSugar.com that her ‘ʙuтт workouts’ are the most important in her regime.

‘Butt for me is really important so [my trainer and I] always end with ʙuтт lifts on all fours,’ she said.

‘If I haven’t seen him in a while the whole session is ʙuтт!’
